CANYON RESIDENCE
Remodel and InteriorsLos Angeles, California
This was a somewhat plain 1950’s house with large interior volumes and an abundance of natural light. The design endeavors to keep the plan an open as possible and to augment the space allotted to various components like kitchen and bathrooms, which suffered from their lack of importance in the 1950’s architecture.
Douglas-fir windows, natural mahogany floors, pear-stained cabinetry, and a palette of neutrals play on the natural light and bring warm tones to the space.
